After all, it wouldn’t be Paris without something delicious to eat! Experience a food tour in Paris where we focus our conversation on inspiring women writers that contributed to Paris’ vast written works and influenced the city’s artistic side, while we indulge with tastings from the city’s culinary side. There are stories of the likes of Colette and George Sand as well as tastings at famous spots such as Henri Le Roux, Georges Larnicol, and Pierre Marcolini… and goodness galore! Price includes tastings at 4 different locations Tuesday – Saturday at 11 am or 2pm Meeting point : Saint-Germain-Des-Prés church, 3 Place Saint-Germain-Des-Prés – 75006 Paris

Reviews

We did this tour as a group of eight and really enjoyed it. Chrissy showed as around and was really friendly and knowledgeable. Starting at the Pantheon and taking us around some of the most beautiful parts of the city, it was great to learn about the famous women of Paris who history books and other tours have often neglected, but who were instrumental in shaping the city into what it is today. Thank you!

Our group enjoyed the full three hours with Heidi, the founder of Women of Paris, as she expertly took us through a historical walking tour with an emphasis on the women who are often in the shadow of men, but who made great contributions to Paris. More of this is needed in every city, but Heidi is leading the way in Paris. Her storytelling was interesting, full of information and laced with humor. We had a great time and left inspired!

I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour, "Women of Paris Sugar & Spice." I didn't know what I didn't know about Simone de Beauvoir, Antoinette Fouque, Colette, George Sand and Sylvia Beach! Heidi Evans did an excellent job of sharing interesting information (at just the right speed and in just the right amounts). It was very pleasant to stop for a salted butter caramel and a macaron -- "just right" -- not too much. I highly recommend her walking tours.

This was the best tour I did in Paris (and I did a LOT during my time there!) The tour guide was so informative, lovely and fun. The people on this tour were great as well. I loved how we tasted wines from female-owned French vineyards while taking in historical sights around Paris and learning about the women of Paris who left their mark on history and the city. Don't miss this tour! I'm definitely doing it again next time I find myself in town. I did the tour alone and met some lovely people also on holiday.

FAQs

Tours typically last between 2-3 hours depending on the pace of the group.

We understand that you might run into traffic or delays when you're on your way to a tour and in that case we just ask that you inform your guide. You will find contact details in your booking confirmation email. The best thing to do is call us or send a quick email or text.

We will usually still run tours even in bad weather so please dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. If the weather is very extreme we may contact you ahead of time to try and reschedule but that's unlikely. If the weather is very hot please make sure you bring water with you!

Our tour Sugar & Spice tour starts and finishes in the same place, by the Saint Germain-des-Prés church.  The guide will be able to give you directions from the end point so you can get to your next destination.

We like to keep the groups nice and intimate so the max guest count is 10 for the Sugar & Spice tour.

Everyone is welcome to join our tours! The theme of the tours is women's history but we think that they are interesting for both men and women :)

Children are welcome to join however the tours are long and so we ask you to consider your child's attention span and stamina for walking before booking. Please also bear in mind that while the tour content is clean, we do discuss some more adult themes such as sex and abortion.
